What are the benefits to paying out of pocket?
No diagnosis needed - fewer assessments around what is means to be “normal”
Fewer hoops to access care that works for you
Increased privacy: insurance will not ask to review your treatment plans, etc. They also cannot reduce your session frequency or decline payment down the line.
You control the cadence, how long our relationship lasts.
Able to access a strong therapeutic alliance without worries about “in network”
If you choose to pay out of pocket, I am happy to provide a super bill, and do offer some courtesy billing
How does a super bill work?
If your insurance has out-of-network benefits, you are able to request reimbursement for therapy sessions. You would be responsible for understanding this part of your plan.
- If you choose this path, I will provide a diagnosis code, session code… and that’s it.
I receive my payment upfront, from you, and your insurance company reimburses you for the claim - sometimes this is actually cheaper for you!
I am currently offering virtual sessions in Pennsylvania…
therapy in your own, comfortable, space.

I accept a certain number of clients through each insurance, to balance out the groups that pay a lower rate with those that pay more
